Carnegie High School

The Carnegie Historical Society has the full history of the education system within Carnegie. Although Carnegie is adjacent to most municipalities that comprise Chartiers Valley, it had a troubled history of refusal and then inability to form jointures with surrounding districts during the reorganization period. So much so that the state initiated an investigation and was then sent to perform negotiations on behalf of the then district. We have several yearbooks from the 1920’s we’re proud to share here. Unfortunately, the Carnegie Historical Society was unwilling to allow us to borrow and scan the yearbooks for this project. They do, however, have most of them on display at their primary location.
