This page contains annual financial audits for the Chartiers Valley School District. These independent audits assess the district’s financial condition, accounts, expenditures, and long-term outlook. They are among the most valuable public resources for understanding district spending and budget allocation.

The audits included here were obtained through a combination of publicly available digital distribution, school board meeting minutes, Right-to-Know requests (for which the district charged more than $200), and records from the Pennsylvania State Archives.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires all public school districts to undergo annual financial audits conducted by certified independent agencies. Until 2022, oversight of these audits was handled by the Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Office. Due to budget reductions, that responsibility was transferred back to the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 2022. However, the Department of Education subsequently indicated that it also lacked the resources to effectively oversee the process because of similar budget constraints. As of 2025, it remains unclear which state entity is formally responsible for audit oversight.
